For those unfamiliar, Contest Mode is a challenging version of the dungeon where players must operate within a strict power cap, meaning no amount of grinding will make it easier. Additionally, some powerful weapons and perks are disabled, including:

• Auto-loading Holster Legendary perk
• Class-specific Exotic Glaives
• Microcosm Exotic weapon
• Volatile Marksman Artifact Mod Boost
• Solipsism’s Spirit of the Filaments and Spirit of the Necrotic perks

The first fireteam to complete the dungeon and have their achievement verified by Bungie will receive an exclusive, customized trophy. This serves as a badge of honor, proving they were the first to conquer Sundered Doctrine in its most challenging form.

For those not vying for first place but still wishing to prove their mettle, completing a Contest Mode run within the first 48 hours of launch will reward players with a guaranteed Exotic weapon drop and a special in-game emblem. Furthermore, clearing the dungeon in Contest Mode unlocks access to Normal Mode, allowing for a more relaxed experience afterward.
